Guy Hugh Chan Refractive Surgery Centre formerly known as Refractive Surgery Centre was established in 1996. As a certified training centre of refractive surgery and LASIK surgery, the Centre has trained over 100 ophthalmologists through the period. It has also left one of the longest track records as well as the highest volume of LASIK surgeries performed in Hong Kong. Since January 2016, the Centre been relocated to Level 21, One Pacific Place, 88 Queensway, Hong Kong.

Cataract has long been prevalent in the aging population of Hong Kong. With tremendous advance over the past decades, cataract surgery has evolved from large corneoscleral wound ECCE (ExtraCapsular Cataract Extraction) to small corneal stab incision surgery (phacoemulsification).
The Centre was first established as Cataract Surgery Centre in 2003. It was later renamed as Eye Surgery Centre in 2012 to reflect its full scope of services in cataract, glaucoma, macular conditions, retinal diseases, etc.
To cater for the needs of ambulatory eye surgery service, a HKSH Eye Surgery Centre at Level 22, One Pacific Place was opened in 2020.
